Made For Greater Heights

gray0328

Humility arrives dressed in quiet shoes,

a whisper against pride's heavy boots.

It does not come crashing,

but slips through the cracks of silence,

when you swallow the urge to retaliate,

or bite back words like fists.

Humiliation, though sharp and unforgiving,

is not meant to break you in half.

It kneads the clay of your heart,

softens the edges made jagged by ego,

teaches you how to sit with yourself

without towering above another.

It is easy to armor in pride,

to harden your jaw, sharpen your tongue,

to let hurt breed more hurt,

but we are not built of steel—

we are soft earth, delicate hands,

designed to hold more than ourselves.

Do not stoop to bitterness or storms.

The heart blooms beneath brighter skies,

where forgiveness stretches like sunlight.

Let the beauty within remain untouched.

We are made for greater heights.
