A shadow slips where the sun won’t fade
A midnight blaze where the dark is made
A quiet cut in a world of gold
A secret shape that the light can’t hold
It crawls through fire on the Arctic rim
A whispered hymn in a sky gone dim
A thin black thread through a sleepless Glow
A mark the daylight can’t overthrow
It drifts like doubt in a burning dream
A fractured gleam on a frozen stream
A pulse of night in a sunlit land
A truth too cold for a mortal hand
The sun keeps clawing to scorch its Trace
To cleanse the place of its shadowed face
But still it lingers
A stubborn stain
A soft refrain of returning pain
It moves through tundra with haunted Grace
A ghost displaced from a darker space
A lone reminder that even light
Must bow its head to the coming night
And when the sun finally starts to fall
The shadow grows like a rising call
A quiet crown on the fading day
A whispered sway where the dusk holds Sway
A shadow born from a burning sun
A paradox that the world outrun
A midnight truth in a blinding glare
A dark that walks where the light won’t Dare
