Living Years

There are so many things I've 
wanted to say to you but I never 
allowed myself the Time. 

Such as...I love the way you immerse 
yourself in a movie, song or book; and 
that glorious laugh, when talking for hours, 
to close friends.

Your courage in the face of immoral acts, 
and correcting someone who constantly 
offends.   

The excitement in your eyes when 
you discover something new, and that 
sad look upon your face, when the World 
has made you blue.

Just...all the idiosyncrasies that could 
only characterize..."You".

Most importantly, I love You and am 
so happy you are in my Life.  

All of these things and so much more, I would 
dearly love to say...

...if only I were speaking directly to you and 
not the tombstone above your grave.
