All of this is you
from the triumphant black hair
that coils toward the Sun
to the bare brown feet
that are both beautiful and hard;
legs that are strong enough to run
and strong enough to stay;
two arms that radiate comfort
and prickle with violence;
hands that wisely fabricate
and accidentally break;
breasts and belly that crafted
two small, helpless lives
that drank from your body
and buckled your skin.
This is everything:
the parts that you love
and the other ones, too.
All, all of this is you.
