Stepped on and thrown, walked over without a second thought
Seen by most as just a mere rock
The foundation of all, the strength of everything.
The very ground you walk, we shaped that terrain
Long before your life we were here and long after we shall remain
The seven wonders of the world all bare our name.
We are the slabs you build on, the roads you travel, It is us you’ve given the name gravel
Alone just pebbles, spat at and pissed on
but together we form mountains, monuments and marvels
Things far too great for anyone to look beyond
