Hidden Identity

Samprikta Paul

I live inside of my head,

most times.

And with time,

the noises in my head

get louder and louder.

I lose myself mid-sentences.

I ain't suicidal,

but in my head,

I always wanted to end—

end either them or me.

Only one of us can live.
