Light Doesn't Ask Permission

Ethan Mikel St.Amour

I watched the sunlight touch the floor,

A golden line beneath the door.

The darkness tried to pull it back,

But light kept finding every crack.

Entered my home on its whim

Touched everything it saw yes, it did

Glowing on arms and face

Removed the darkness, left without a trace
