We crawled through the cellars of my house

With nothing but a lantern

And I was okay

For once, I wasn't scared

Of what I would find

In the dark, damp places 

hidden

Where the spiders build their nests

You were with me

I saw the bodies

You didn’t see

It was okay

And when it was time,

You asked me to help you

Together

We examined the wreck

And in the light of two lanterns

You looked

And I was with you

I didn't see everything

But I saw you

And you saw me

And together

We were okay
