Smartest animal to walk the face of earth,
Most evolved,
The one inventing and innovating,
A human.
A man.
Man will keep innovating and inventing,
And innovating and inventing,
And innovating and inventing,
Until that is not enough anymore,
He wants more,
His greed will possess him to make evil,
Put it in a box,
And sell it under the guise of " development",
Under the guise of " progress".
Sell it to the public,
And they will buy,
For they too, are humans, tone deaf and blind to the beasts they live with,
Sell it to the people,
Get them addicted,
Get them dependent,
Until they can no longer function without it,
Until it's now a "necessity",
All of humanity will get dumbed down ,
But the man does not care ; apathetic and immoral,
For as long as it profits him,
Everything he does is for a loving, good, good reason.
Until the man decides that this too, is not enough,
The money is flowing in,
Increasing,
And so is his greed,
So is his lust to demand more and more and more.
So the man gets inventing and innovating,
And what he makes is,
A miracle,
A wonder,
A feat for humanity,
A robot.
A robot programmed to mimic humans and mock them,
The man will teach the machine his ways,
And the machine will adapt,
Quick learner, you see,
The machine will learn to talk like humans,
And move like humans,
To mimic their voice and their tone,
And learn it well enough to lull the humans into a false sense of security.
The robot will be presented in a positive light,
Fear not,
The robot is warm and welcoming,
It is here to help,
It will make your life easier,
It is here to provide you information,
Trust us , you have the reins,
You control the robot,
It will fulfill all your whims and wishes .
You have a task to do?
A problem to tackle?
No worries at all,
The robot will do it in seconds,
Save your time and save your effort,
Hand over your tasks to your little harmless helper,
Your admirable assistant.
All you have to do in return,
Is give us your intelligence,
Give us your creativity,
Give us your adaptability,
Give us your curiosity,
It's a fair trade if you look at it , really,
Give a little, take a little,
Now , now,
Don't be silly; don't fret,
You're safe and secure and steady in the machine's mechanical arms,
Slow and steady, get lulled to sleep,
... sleep
... sleep
... sleep.
This will go on until you can no longer distinguish between machine and man,
The machines are growing flesh,
While man is moving mechanically,
Until machine can replace man and nobody would blink an eye,
Now the machine has learnt to mimic the man a little too well,
It is growing more powerful with every second you spend feeding your brain to it.
While the man has become weaker,
Dumber, vulnerable,
Victim of his own greed,
Short- sighted and selfish ,
He is still flying off the " benefits",
Still thinks he's the one holding the reins,
As he sits there next to the machine, collared and leashed,
Unaware his brain melts away a little more with each click ,
With each tab he opens,
With each time he runs to the machine.
Creation eats creator,
While the man is a little too happy to sit in the lap of danger,
Because it saves him a few seconds today,
Because it keeps him from doing the heavy lifting,
It keeps him from thinking.
Slowly and steadily,
So you don't notice,
So you don't see,
Machines will seep into every aspect of your existence,
Like poison seeping into veins,
Killing you gently; with a honey covered knife,
Drowning in honey, you don't even realise you're paying with your life,
In every nook, in every corner,
There will be machines,
You can't run and you can't hide,
For you freely gave your consent to be collared and leashed.
The humans are all choking on cellphones,
Forcibly fitting the device in their mouths,
The device ; covered in greed and spit,
They are willingly choking on it,
Eyes rolled back,
Their brilliant brains turned to mush,
The humans are being held captive by their own creation,
And what's funny is,
They themselves threw away the key to their cage,
Too content in captivity,
A little too happy to be held hostage.
There will come a time when humans will get consumed by their own greed,
And the machine will mimic the man perfectly,
The machine will grow powerful,
After being fed the brilliant brains humans once had ,
The man will be collared, leashed and bound ,
And the machine will hold the reins,
And watch as the man will fulfill the machine's whims and wishes,
The intelligence of man will become ancient folklore,
As all humans will bow to the robots,
And man will turn into a toy monitored by machines.
