THE MOMENT SLEEPS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Falling leaves
To forests floor
A bed to make
An open door
To inner dreams
Upon thoughts
To sway
My troubled mind
To lay.

The canopy
High above
Multicoloured
Eternal love
Branches sway
A thoughful light
To creep downward
From the height.

Its warmth to keep
A tender hand
To cradle dream
A faraway land
Its echo in
The silence speaks
To sweet birdsong
The moment sleeps.
