Coram Deo, the letters of the expedition below, part one: to take in the passages below

N Jacob

My name is Johannan Boaz, I am leading an expedition of twelve men into the mountains, early expeditions proved fruitful, so be my mark foolishness. For if you are reading this letter, it means I have gone missing with my men.

I beg, do not come looking for us.

May God save our souls.

Johannan Boaz, 1634

With twelve I travel, into mountain peaks

To find the womb to lead us passages below

Whipping wind cutting at cheeks

But stop, they inquire for why,

To ahead of sky I point to fiery mist ahead.

Meeting gaze of thirty eyes

Gift to see, lays Eden

A fog distance away.

Twelve afoot of this misty pass

To stand before the passages below.
