stepping onto the doormat
knuckles rapping on wood
heart pounding mind racing
perhaps its like those
after school tv reruns
or those movie remakes
imagine live streaming
and podcasting in
very slow motion
loosing you and having
to remember back then
are unreachable ghosts
.

This seems to me a tense moment where everything gos into slow motion, the tension slows the clock. Or maybe it is a memory of a tense time in the past or a metaphor of knocking on the door of someone's heart that one wished would open but may be shut or nobody home and the fear that no one will answer. Then again given the season a memory of trick or treating. Any way you look at it, it holds tension. Well done my friend
Ah yes! A Halloween reading is quite a treat... if it weren't for the tricking that the reading-muse sometimes plays the siren. Right you are dear friend, there is a tension under it all in there. Thank you so much. 🙏🏻🕊️
