- Comment from author about the poem: An acrostic Scorched Sunday poem. Part of my Scorched Strays collection. This poem draws inspiration from a band whose faith has never fit neatly inside the safer corners of Christian music. It considers what happens when the name of Christ is claimed by the very idols his life exposes, and when redemption keeps speaking from places polite religion once tried to ignore.
