You gaze at the hazel tree
Its large leaf
The buds
The blossoms
The cluster of fruit
It captivates you
You could watch it for hours
There is something about it
You can't quite say what
Yet you find yourself back at the hazel tree
Day after day
Its fruit
Is good for the brain
You like it
There is hope for your
Mind
You look forward to autumn
You visit the hazel tree more and more often
You await the fruit
Like a father awaiting a newborn
Like a mother awaiting her child
You think of hazelnuts
In chocolate
Of roasted hazelnuts
In sponge cake or malt
Unnoticed
You look at it with a new, joyful eye
You are becoming a squirrel
Instead of a nose
You have a little snout
