The Wealth of Access
How could I be born in such a place,
What did I do to deserve such grace?
Resources galore, life in abundance
Our efforts, reduced by their redundance.
Why should we have what they cannot?
Practically enthroned, while they sit in rot.
Pleading ignorance for the blatant robbery
Of this energy winning lottery.
They have not half what we hold
Yet, we refuse them this wealth untold.
Access to life, health, and security
They deserve it more than we.
I wish and pray that maybe someday
We could find a way
To reach those in need
Instead of succumbing to greed.
Love is ever the answer,
Like elegance to a dancer.
Something only found in the heart
As He did before, so must we do our part.
