I like to think our meeting was inevitable
that some higher powers decided we’re meant to feel
the presence of each other and see what the other has to offer.
Perhaps, it’s so much more than just a transaction.
I wanted to be the love of your life
and not just some passing fling
that takes a bit of your time.
You’re right, what’s a decade in the grand scheme of life?
A blink of an eye that belongs to a God.
I miss the texts you sent me every chance you got,
how things you experienced made you think of me.
Your image in my head is undeniable, and I can’t quit
thinking of you or how we’ll never be the same dumb kids
that thought the Universe should bend for them to meet
despite the distance.

Here is a plea for a more serious relationship. Nicely composed it calls out.
