The Pouring Rain

Anthony Hanible

Falls fierce

Arcane

A whispered ache

A silver vein

It carves the night

With quiet might

A ghostly hymn

A blade of light

Each drop a rune

A cold monsoon

A trembling vow

Beneath the moon

It floods the air

With solemn prayer

A storm that strips

The soul to bare

I stand undone

The past outrun

My shadows drowned

My sorrows spun

The pouring rain

Remakes my pain

A dark refrain

That feels like gain
