JUST A HINT

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Just a hint
Of yesterday
In the eyes
That looked away
Briefly
Just a flicker
Before you
Pulled the trigger.

Turned away
And walked
To another man
Then you talked
Glass in hand
Slightly tipped
Almost spilling
To kiss his lips.

Was he the first
Or just another ?
Since we split
My pain to smother
To smile my smile
Amongst the guests
Disguising pain
And aching chest.

It was the words first that grabbed my attention then the subject and lastly the beat of the meter itself that cast the spell of mood in sad sense of jealousy without power that just eats. Nicely done Norman.
