Invisible Visibility

apete90

The vision of what the day resolves to entail.

There is expectation in the mind deciding detail.

The memory in our footsteps as each one glides.

There are signs our mind governs in subtle strides.

The motions our body makes while waiting.

There are actions we are further anticipating.

The air filled with passions setting the tone.

There are sounds spoken words do not own.

The thoughts of the heart that are felt quite deep.

There are tears that smile in memories we keep.

The voice shown on a face with a wrinkle or a line.

There are emotions in tones of a moment in time.

The scents that smell as a taste would define.

There are senses that collide and adequately align.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I wrote this poem to describe how invisible or nonverbal expressions can be visible upon reflection and to address how senses intriguingly coincide or interact with one another.
