Not just a promise,
You broke my trust.
Not just my heart,
But my spirit too.
Not just my memories,
You made me forget everything else.
Not just tears,
You stole my ability to smile fully.
Not just my peace,
You took away my sleep.
Not just me,
You made me believe I could never be loved,
Made me question my worth,
Made me doubt everyone who cares.
And yet…
It was all my fault,
For opening the window to shatter my already broken home.
How could I blame you?
You taught me.
What real love feels like,
what real care feels like,
what real understanding feels like,
what being truly one feels like.
You taught me, by not giving any of that...
