As a Slow Choreography of My Soul
There’s a slight turning within me
before entering the stillness
of my room.
His presence begins to lean in —
at first almost imperceptible —
then my heart yields,
uncurling to the warmth
of His nearness.
My whole being settles
into a rightful depth of prayer.
And what I hear rising
from my soul is this:
Speak, Lord,
for Your servant is listening.
