A Walmart Associate
is a special breed.
Lived through Covid.
Lived through bomb threats.
Lived through death threats.
Lived through knife fights.
Lived through murders that
management never talked about.
Next time you’re at Walmart,
shake an Associate’s hand.
They’ve survived the land
of the damned.

Don't understand; is all this a campaign by one of the fashion houses against a lack of sartorial elegance thereabouts?
Meaning of sartorial in English
sartorial
adjective [ before noun ] formal
uk /sɑːˈtɔː.ri.əl/ us /sɑːrˈtɔːr.i.əl/
Add to word list
relating to the making of clothes, usually men\\\'s clothes, or to a way of dressing:
sartorial elegance

This seems a tribute to a worker in a dangerous profession and having been to Walmart many times I can see how it could be. I feel that the author may have some personal experience here. Well said.
Yup
Thought so
It's the Co-op or similar for us in the UK. lol.
Is the Coop for the chickens?!
Thanks G.P.D. for the humouuurous comment from the UuuuK!
Good to see you using those U's like we do in the UK. lol.
James, “land of the damned” made me laugh, but damn, everything leading up to it makes that laugh pretty fucking dark. There’s a whole world behind the blue vest that customers never think about. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Ten years it’s been for me at Wally World.
Probably the wildest thing I’ve seen was a fort made by a runaway teen. It was on the top steel above the toilet paper and towels, about 50 cases of those products. Amazingly impressive!
Thanks Tristan for the empathetic comment!
Hello, James,
Sounds like a war zone at times, you deserve a medal. An interisting poem, the other side of life midst the aisles of products in the vastness of Walmart. Well done indeed.
Wishing you all the very best,
Tony.
Thank you kindly for your comment. Yes, thankfully it is only “at times” that the store gets crazy.
