Last Light
from the ground
the ceiling looks so much wider
from the ground
its cracks seem much finer
all the rooms have surrendered
the paint peels -
minute flags, off-white surrender;
the paint peels -
eggshells of heavy-footed plunder...
yet I remain
revelation fall free
on this soul that has been bound
revelation fall free,
release this pretender from the ground

Deeply philosophical, psychological, perceptual where perspective takes center stage. Distance gives a different perspective horizons broaden, details diminish. There is a clever on white and surrender. One must ask why paint peels, age, viscosity, lack of bonding agents. Like egg shells that peel it is also white mentioned twice it is of importance. What follows heavy footed plunder. What is to be taken. If all then only you remain and so it follows. Revelations fall free. And indeed they do ask any sanyasi. By casting off all earthly weight and ballast the balloon raises and so does consciousness, awareness as the perspective changes. How's that for a grasping at straws conclusion my friend? A fave
A deep and delightful write my friend
