Crusted eyes over some morning bell
When was the last I fell asleep?
Bring myself up, shuffle along the walls
I feel as though I'm on repeat
I try to smile past the withering pain
But I fail to find any light
I've got reasons plenty just to be
But I dont think I really care
And its hurting me
Convince me that there is an end
Tell me that I'll be alright
And let me etch all these promises
Deep inside
I want to feel as if I am whole
And to see color once again
And to love the new sights to see
But I'm too tired, so tired
And its hurting me
All the love I can get
Doesnt seem to warm me
Winter has taken my mind
There is a fog that invades inside
And wraps its claws on everything
And the feeling only hurts me
I can write my little words
Scratch them on some paper
And let the world read my thoughts
Maybe they would understand
I can speak my truth without filter
Reveal the core within my skin
I can hope that this would've set me free
But I can't find any reprieve in the end
And its hurting me
Disassociate from reality
And forget what it means to live
Or if I ever did
And look at the pale reflection
Feel the numbness take its hold
And find that to be is hurting me
And as I stare into the distance
Imagining of all that could be
A hopeful wish that only hurts me
I know you care
That much will always be true
You only want the best that I could be
But I have no place in this world
And its hurting me
