Pull Me Up

Anthony Hanible

Pull me up

I've had enough

My heart is rough

My path is tough

Pull me up

Through rain and rust

Through broken trust

Through ash and dust

Pull me up

When hope is thin

When doubt digs in

Beneath my skin

Pull me up

Above the flood

Above the blood

Above the mud

Pull me up

From night's deep throat

Where shadows float

And sorrows gloat

Pull me up

Before I break

Before I ache

Before I wake

Pull me up

From grief's cold hall

From every fall

From every wall

Pull me up

Let mercy sing

Let healing spring

Let dead dreams wing

Pull me up

Don't let me drown

Don't leave me down

Don't crown this frown

Pull me up

And when I'm through

I'll pull up too

The ones like you

What a wonderful message sent in this poem. A helping hand to those below goes a long way to setting the mood to do the same. Nicely done Anthony
