Read any Good Books Lately?

Cain was banished from Eden
and went east
to the land of Nod.

Nobody knows exactly
where the hell Nod was.

Maybe that's the point.

Maybe Cain pitched a tent
beside some river
and watched the autumn sky
turn red and gold
while missing his brother.

Maybe he wondered
if Abel was somewhere
under that same sky.

I've been searching for Nod
for a long damn time.

I even wrote a book about it.
