You dirty rat
Slick in black
Smile so thin
Knife in back
You shook my hand
Spoke so sweet
Hid your trap
Beneath your feet
You borrowed trust
You sold the gold
Left the fire
Kept the cold
You danced through lies
You praised my name
Then lit the fuse
Then fled the flame
You dirty rat
The moonlight knows
How poison blooms
Where friendship grows
The walls have ears
The dark keeps score
Every bolt
On every door
For fate walks slow
But never late
It learns your face
It knows your gate
And when the mask
Falls flat like dust
You'll meet the weight
Of broken trust
You dirty rat
Run if you must
But every trail
Returns to dust
