The Alchemy of the Word

Michael A. McGuire

Language is the medium through which we
express out inner thoughts intelligently
and with clear, logical precision.

Eloquent paint strokes of genius on
a piece of silk tapestry are like, the
words from out mouth that poureth Life's
Wisdom, pure and right.

True beauty from the sounds, that like
music, shape the Soul.  The power of the
Word gives and takes away Life.

Its true intention...to manipulate thought
to were the reader sees what the writer
breathes.  Mental domination being the ultimate
goal.

However, the reader must think freely, for
judgment is usually the saviour or destructor
of us all.   With the wrong decision, whole cities,
perhaps even nations could be made to fall.

Being Poets, we can only offer suggestions; for
we are, as Shelley wrote, "...the unacknowledged
legislators of the world"

So think for yourself and come to your own
conclusions.  Don't believe the lies and
blasphemies you are told; or into the abyss of
fiery deception, you'll be furled.

Nicely written it leaves one wondering how we tell the difference between lies and truth. Nicely done

Michael, this one gave me plenty to chew on. A writer can put something into the world, but what another person ultimately does with it belongs to them. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
