An Action Regretted

mylastwrites

I wish you nothing but good

May you always have the best

Always remain independent

Don't always side with the rest

I hope along life's road

You think of me now and then

If ever you are lonely just close your eyes

Sit back and remember

The blue skies and white clouds

As they drifted overhead

All of our long conversations

And all the many things we said

What we once shared was very real

So real, it scared me away

I decided to let you go

A decision I regret to this day

We may no longer have each other

But we have precious memories to recall

I keep them locked deep inside

Within my hearts walls
