She ran as light as air toward me
Over the broad swathe of grass
Daisies never felt her feet
Nor was the clover burdened
No imprints made on the green tapestry;
She moved like a silent ghost
Unhindered by the earth
That knew the wind could not hold her
Nor the trees catch even a glance
Her progress effortless at most;
Time could not measure her advance
For the clocks stood still in awe
And sound was swallowed by a vacuum
As her white and fawn soaked up the rainbows
And left them drained by her dance.
