There is one fact of life that we can all agree,
And it's saying a line that the Brain couldn't see.
A Case in Point where it's best not to Speak,
Is When I asked the Wife one day last Week:
'Would you like a Kit Kat Chunky'? A simple request.
Then I'm 3 Hours in Casualty as a Hospital Guest.

Kevin this one made me smile a fun read with a chuckle
Glad to hear it. Thank you.
You are very welcome
As I argue at every turn on these pages, the message which leaves the author/speaker may be damaged/altered/ transformed during its journey to the recipient.
In this case you attempted to tell her, in that piece of kit she looked sleek and catlike… no, I believe we have run out of juice when we reach ‘chunky’…Sorry, best I can do, Old Boy… fees as per usual at end of month.
There is a Chocolate Bar called 'Kit Kat Chunky'.
And when he asked her if She'd like one? She took it the Wrong way. Thought he was Commenting on her Weight.
Thank you for Reading.
Got that I think..But you obviously needed some support... However, if you think you can go it alone I shall certainly enquire as to her state of mind - easy pickings since I am familiar with the basics...👍
Forgot to add (nostalgia spot) that there title was one of my dear old Dad's favourite sayings.
Thanks for the reminder.
Happy to oblige. 👍
Oh, Kevin! 🤣 I suspect there's a very good reason chocolate bars don't come with marriage counseling vouchers! Though after this little incident, I'd recommend sticking to something safer...like a grenade with the pin still in! 😂🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Excellent
Thank you.
A delightful piece of humor! Your timing and unexpected punchline make it especially entertaining. A wonderful reminder that sometimes the brain should consult the tongue before allowing it to speak! You certainly made me smile.
My Pleasure. Glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for Reading and sending a message.
You bet!
