UP IN THE AIR
On the line,
in fleeting instants,
in passing moments,
at the crossroads.
Life hangs in the air,
between mistakes and triumphs;
life falls, or rises,
in the elevator that carries us,
where we descend, where we climb.
In the lift of our days,
with no certain direction,
the uncertainty
of tomorrow.
Up in the air,
everything exposed,
stripped bare,
in this life
that carries us forward
or sweeps us away.
----
EN EL AIRE
En la línea,
en instantes,
en momentos,
en las intersecciones.
La vida pende del aire,
en errores, en aciertos;
la vida se cae o se eleva,
en el ascensor que nos lleva,
donde caemos, donde subimos.
En el elevador de los días,
sin rumbo seguro,
incertidumbre
del mañana.
En el aire,
todo al aire,
desnudos,
en la vida
que nos lleva
o nos vuela.

A great poem with a wonderful allegory that tells of life's ups and downs. Nicely done my friend
Insightful poem about one's journey in a lifetime. A day's travel within the self is substantially rewarding. Thank you for this poem. We all need the reminder: Life is a journey into this moment and the moments to come.
Carlos, I enjoyed reading your poem “Up in the Air.” I appreciate the philosophical idea behind it, particularly your reflection on life's uncertainty and the way we move between triumphs and setbacks without always knowing what lies ahead.
Carlos, there's a sobering honesty here, my friend. We spend so much of our lives wanting assurances that simply aren't available. Perhaps learning to live without them is one of our greatest challenges. A thoughtful read! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
