wired into tired,
tried but got fired
before i was hired—
retried but not retired.

Has this ever been desired?

Too many have been thus derailed from the once overarching American dream.

Thanks, Rik! I think one of the hardest things for people to accept is that working hard and getting ahead aren't necessarily connected. There's an awful lot of disillusionment out there, and understandably so. πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™

Been on a few Work Interviews and Never got the Job. You said a lot in a few Words.

      • Tristan Robert Lange

Kevin, those experiences can really wear a person down, especially when you've put genuine effort into making a good impression. I hope the next opportunity proves a much better one, my friend. Thanks for sharing! πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™

Thank you. I did get Jobs, but that was through Employers getting in touch with me: On line. The thing is, I always wore a Suit at Interviews. And Shaved. Some went like Tramps . Still never was Successful. Someone at the Jobcentre once said : 'Its not what you know. But who you know' at Interviews.
I'm retired now so Interviewers can Suck it big time.
          Thank you.

Love the rapid fire rhyme through this work. Short lines accentuate this. Well done my friend

LOL! Thanks, Soren! I figured if the world insists on making everything a rat race, I might as well make the rhythm match! LOL! Glad you enjoyed this one, my friend! πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™

Is that Popeye & Co in disguise there?! lol.

              • Tristan Robert Lange

rchi, you've uncovered the entire operation! LOL! Popeye's been laundering spinach through a shell corporation, Olive's cooking the books, and Obi-Wan keeps insisting these aren't the chickens the auditors are looking for! πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™

                • orchidee

We can't keep up with their mad antics! lol.

LoL so catchy, you will find me on a beach in the Maldives with not a care in the world! πŸ”

LOL! Teddy, now THAT sounds like a sensible career move! I suspect the only board meeting worth attending over there involves a surfboard! Enjoy paradise, my friend! πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™

                    Hello, Tristan,

No connections a life of rejections. On the low rung of the ladder, the poor chicken, resumΓ© in hand and not a chance. a tale of woe the world over.

                    Fond regards,

                    Tony.

                    • Tristan Robert Lange

Tony, it makes me wonder how many talented people never get the opportunity to demonstrate what they're capable of. There's a tremendous amount of potential being squandered out there. Thank you, my friend, and warmest regards! πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™

Totes Syd, I reckon most of us would happily skip the corporate circus altogether if given half a chance! LOL! Thanks for the encouragement, my friend! πŸ£πŸ“πŸ’ΌπŸ™
