You reached out
Your hand to me
In your eyes
It was plain to see
The years that separated us
Never broke the bond
That we established long ago
Even though we both moved on
When we finally get together
No matter how much time has passed
We hit the ground running
Reminiscing, always lots of laughs
Within both our hearts
We hold one another close
When I hear the Fogelberg song "Auld Lang Syne"
I think of you with every note
What we have
Is so hard to find
I'm glad our friendship
Has stood the test of time
