Reality
They pull the blinds, they turn away,
Afraid of how I stand or stay.
To them, a twisted limb or frame
Is something they would hide in shame.
They judge the shell, they miss the soul,
And use cheap lies to keep control,
Inventing reasons, sharp and cold,
To leave me in the quiet dark, untold.
They do their best to cause me pain,
To leave me standing in the rain.
But let them whisper, let them stare—
I hold a secret waiting there.
My mother and my father wait,
Beyond the sorrow and the gate.
Their anniversary nears, and oh,
It’s soon—so soon—that I will go.
I’ll pack my bags of grief and sighs,
And leave behind the cruel disguise.
I'll fly to where the love runs deep,
Where broken bodies fall asleep.
And one thing's sure, as stars align:
No more this loneliness of mine.
I’ll never be alone again,
Released from judgment, fear, and pain.
No longer marked for how I seem—
I’ll wake inside the golden dream.

Your poem beautifully conveys loneliness, pain, and the longing for unconditional love. Its ending is especially poignant, leaving me wondering whether the golden dream represents hope, reunion, or a longing for peace.
