Atom

Black Willow

"And if all my life was wasted

I don't mind, I'll watch it go" - Noah Kahan

I am a one-electron atom:

I cannot remain the same and wholly exist.

I need another one in the outer shell,

That shall keep me complete.

If I split myself in half

My death would cause an explosion

Or perhaps it's just what I'm convinced

Perhaps not that significant.

I am an atom in trillions more

Unseen, unnoticed, easily left alone.

But: my whole existence

contributed to yours

Still: it won't make a difference

if I don't anymore.
