The Call Of Tomorrow

Kurt Philip Behm

So sick

he’d have to get better to die

Each breath

grows more distant and thin

Longevity

a dream that’s now passed him by

The call

— of tomorrow lost deep in the wind

Lovely Kurt the first lines reminded me of hearing something similar long ago and how hard it struck. Very nice

Damn, Kurt. This is a tough one. I've witnessed people nearing the end of their lives, and no matter how many times I've encountered it, it never gets easier. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
