Comforting Photograph

apete90

The photo displayed such delight,

as we rested together that night.

Remembering hurt only she can site,

curing me with all of her might.

I soundlessly sat with nothing to fight.

My life had felt blissfully better on track,

as if peace was a present healing hack.

The image instantly smiled at me back,

comforting care from the one I now lack.

Elegantly turning what once was white.

Grinning my grave grief into light,

she smeared my sorrow from sight.

Soothing gloom with the colors bright,

her edges eagerly hugged me tight.
