You used to speak
Of America
When you played guitar
In a country western band
The trucks
You used to drive
Across that vast
And open land.
Your childhood days
In Yarmouth
In Great Britain
You were born
Your love of
All things trains
Lionel railway carriages
And trucks that hauled.
You settled
Once again
In old England
That you loved
But age and illness
Finally took you
So abruptly
But not unloved.
Tuesdays are
More quiet now
Since you passed
No more to talk
But never left
This earth alone
For in friendship
We still walk.

A beautiful tribute in memoriam of one passed and missed. Nicely done Norman in tenderness.

What a wonderful way to honor David, Norman. I wish I'd had the pleasure of knowing him. He sounds like someone who had plenty of stories to tell, and I'm glad he had a friend who listened and remembers. Sending you much love, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thanks and appreciation my friend, I am sure he would love the thought that he was remembered so fondly by a friend as he had no family living
A sensitive write N.
