OXYGEN
I fill my lungs with fire,
and my soul with air.
Free in my cage of ether,
I gather my breath anew,
and fill myself with the breeze.
So sweet,
I burn,
I draw myself in.
Reborn
through the simple act of breathing,
pure oxygen,
only to burn away,
slowly, and drift off
upon that liberating breeze,
within the oxygen that bursts into flame.
Inside this burning body,
I oxidize without end,
I dissolve.
It is time
to leave.

A lovely poem of excitement setting oneself on fire so to speak. Lovely Carlos
Thank you very much for your comments.
Most welcome my friend
Ah, Carlos, the universe certainly has a peculiar sense of humor! It gives us consciousness, allows us to ponder eternity, and then reminds us that we're only visiting. LOL! Quite the arrangement, isn't it? Excellent work, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏
Thank you so much for your comments.
A fascinating meditation on existence, where life and destruction become intertwined. Your imagery is powerful, and the ending leaves a haunting sense of mystery and liberation. A thought-provoking poem!
Thank you.
