Your words
land like fists
an unrelenting verbal beating
the likes of which
leave only scars
on the inside
mental bruises
that never quite heal
but rather
calcify, silent witnesses
of what transpired.

The old adage sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me does not apply here. Words can cut deep and do sever damage. Nicely written my friend
Damn, Fränz. I've known people who could do more damage with their mouths than their fists. And sometimes it takes years to recover. This one hit close to home. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
