The air is cold
The day is long
Its moments stutter
Its hours throng
Together in
A ragged line
The essence
Lost in time.
Reading poetry
By my own hand
The verses rhyme
Like waves on sand
As children lost
Seeking to define
The thoughts are laced
Locked and primed.
The lone wolf stands
Dark silhouette
Upon the landscape
Hungry and wet
Time today
Has lost his way
The silence breathes
No words to say.

A fine write N. Yes, we're feeling like that lone wolf at this bus stop! lol.
Thats true, the bus stop wolf lol
Can a wolf live alone without the call of the pack ?
Thats a fine question my friend, probably not, thanks and appreciation
These words are sufficient. I have always been a lone wolf and there is nothing wrong with that. Silence has its virtues. What is that old saying " Better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt" Nicely rhymed this one is identifiable my friend.
Perfectly reviewed, thanks my friend, much appreciated
Always a pleasure Norman
Alone but not lonely.
you got it my friend, spot on, thanks and appreciation
Excellent work.
Most kind, thanks much appreciated
Norman, I think there's a little lone wolf in quite a few of us poets. I know mine tends to come out when I've had enough of humanity for one day. 😂 Seriously, though, I enjoyed this one, my friend. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
thanking you my friend, much appreciated as always
