As the Snow falls gently on the ground
Making nary a single sound
Its white blanket lightly covering all
With its luminous effect, through it all
Street lights with their gentle hue
Amongst the Snowflakes shining through
Reminds me of when was a kid
As along the roads we would diligently skid
Making slides paths in the snow
My God, you should have seen us go
Sometimes we would fall upon our tums
Next time maybe on our bums
But what joy, what fun we had back then
Now you can hardly remember when
We had Snow as thick as this is laying
Or of the times we would be playing
Because today with all this global warming kicking in
You hardly know that Snow has been
So today we will make the most of what God has sent
Down to earth so we might repent
All our sins, all our misdeeds
As the Snow fall covers all the plants and seeds
The birds safely tucked up nicely in their nest
But the Robin with his bright red breast
Still scours the garden looking for food we might put out
So remember this whilst playing out and about
That their, are others who may need help to survive
To last out the Snow, just stay alive
So be vigilant whilst you are out at play
We all want to look forward to another day
So enjoy the Snow whilst it is here
For tomorrow it may be gone, all will be clear
Nature makes such a wonderful sight
At times at either day or night
The nightly creatures always roam about
Looking for food that we may leave out
A Badger roams silently ever alert
If you bump into him he can be curt
A solitary animal at the best of times
Just leave him be he commits no crimes
As the Foxes make their noises, such a racket
Their coat shines out like a bright red jacket
They all suffer when the snow arrives
It can make such an impact on all our lives
But it’s nice to be tucked safely in bed
As the Snow falls outside I can lay my head
Cuddled up warmly under a nice thick duvet
So it’s goodnight to everyone what more can one say.
