Someone told me long ago,
there's a calm before the storm.
I know, it's been coming for some time.
When it's over so they say,
it'll rain on a sunny day,
I know, shining down like water.
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain,
coming down on a sunny day?
Yesterday and days before,
sun is cold and rain is hard.
I know, been that way for all my time.
Til forever on it goes,
through the circle fast and slow,
I know. It can't stop. I wonder.
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain,
coming down on a sunny day?

- Comment from author about the poem: This piece is not mine. It was actually written by Creedence Clearwater. I actually looked up the meaning of this song. It is about a man on death row. He is dreaming about his memories only to wake up and find out that it's execution time. It seems depressing but it's still a great song. Everyone loves the version done by Creedence Clearwater, but my favorite is sung by David Suntory. Persistence is Key
