Tune: Moscow

('Thou whose almighty word')

Psalm 118 v.21-25

**********

I will praise you, Lord, you

Have heard, answered me true

Glory to you

And you are become my

Salvation, you are nigh

The precious stone, the head

Rose from the dead

You are the stone which they

Builders refused that day

But no decay

For that stone has become

Foundation of our home

Chief corner stone which holds

All firm, 'tis told

This is the Lord's doing

Each part, every thing

Praises we sing

And it is marvellous

Here made known unto us

This day the Lord has made

Has it displayed

We will be glad in it

Worship, 'tis meet and fit

The Lord made it

Save now, I beseech you

Lord, we need your help true

Send now prosperity

Let blessings be

I remember well the story of the rejected stone that is chosen to be the corner stone. Nicely done Orchi another good hymn

Thank you SB. A little confusing - some Bible versions say 'corner stone' and some say 'cap stone'. The latter is the middle stone of an arch. Either way, it's the most important stone in the building or arch.

Yes the meaning the same. You are most welcome Orchi

Erm, Orchi... 666 in the meter?! I knew my Devilishly Dreadful series was contagious, but I didn't expect it to reach the church organ! Someone check whether the organist has sprouted horns. Popeye's already summoned the exorcist, but the poor fellow arrived with three tins of spinach and a bicycle pump. Apparently, that's standard procedure now. 😂 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦‍⬛
