Such a thing
is in short supply
when one’s under duress;
it’s something that
I’m well aware
I lack, I must confess.
But, pressing on
I do declare
the fight can yet be won;
if I endure
and be demure
when a struggle has begun.
There’s always hope
if one persists
and runs the ragged race;
and if we stumble,
we arise
and venture forth with grace.

Fränz, I'm convinced patience is one of those virtues that sounds wonderful until somebody gives us an opportunity to exercise it! Then suddenly we're negotiating with the universe for an exemption. 😂 Keep going, my friend! 🌹🖤🙏🕯️
Thank you!
Both message and structure of this poem are well deserving of a fave. Nicely rhymed in a more complex manner. It speaks with patience itself.
Thank you so much!
You are very welcome Franz
A very satifying piece worthy of serious note even if patience for me in times of stress is difficult to attain.
Thanks for the write.
Thank you!
A beautiful reflection on perseverance and the human spirit. I particularly appreciate the honesty in acknowledging our weaknesses while refusing to surrender to them. Your closing thought is powerful: stumbling is part of the journey, but rising again with grace gives it meaning.
Thank you so much!
