A stranger
On a windswept shore
Dark and sullen
Sadness to outpour
Each crashing wave
And rising froth
Of white foam upon
A silent clock.
I muttered low
Of weathers force
His eyes met mine
In due course
Lips that parted
Soon replied
With welling tears
In his eyes.
Its a day
Angry at itself
He spoke slowly
Caution spent
A stranger seen
Only once
Never again
To hear his voice.

A haunting write in such good meter that like the waves one is carried onward to distant shores. Lovely my friend

Good write N. And now a poem with no words in it, entitled: 'What happened on the bus journey!' lol. Answer: Nothing.
nothing, no bloody bus lol
A blank poem. Easiest one we've ever written? lol.
The easiest for sure lol
Damn, Norman. This one really got to me. There's a loneliness here that I know all too well, and I found myself sitting with it for a while. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
