I, whispering in your ear
reveal my inner life, my constant fear
and tell you things
I don’t even reveal to myself
except in those dark, dark hours
when the silence screams in my ears
and the sun seems to have snuffed out
and I realize
I may have said too much,
or
perhaps not enough
and I wonder if you’ve gone
as my mind circles and spins
in the gravitational pull
of your ever-present absence.

I feel this Franz in its oppositions and its regrets. There is a war here between what is and what could have been, past and present, presence and absence, too much and too little. Nicely woven into a poetic fabric. Well done
Thanks!!
Most welcome Franz
Fränz, that uncertainty about how much to share is something I struggle with myself. Sometimes I wish conversations came with an undo button! LOL! Seriously, though, this one got to me. 🌹🖤🙏🕯️🐦⬛
Thank you sir!
