Winter's heart

Poet gangster

Another night to hide behind my blanket

The cold breeze creeps through my window set

On freezing my heart to death

I knew winter would come back

No matter how many sleepless nights I stack

I can't ignore my heart's unrest

Or can I just tell it to stop?

The delusion has to be given up

Come on heart, you've cried enough

And winter also has a heart

But life has shown it must be set apart

And kept as memory of a broken start

Here I take seasons as metaphors to the emotional state of loss. Nicely written in good poetic form
