Sacre cœur

Sphinx

The heart seeks nor the stars nor the moon,
It craves a deft touch, the love, akin to a boon

Needs handling with care, 'cause it easily can break,
Others knowing not, what is actually at stake

A millennium it shall take, to undo what's been done,
A misstep here and there, and it's back to square one

In this day and age of falsehood and deceit,
How can one place their trust in someone; it ain't no small feat
